Mothership Studios, Marrickville

WEBSITE UPGRADE AND SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING, 2019-2020

MOTHERSHIP STUDIOS is an artist-run space in Sydney’s thriving creative hub Marrickville, in Sydney’s Inner West.

In 2018, I created a new website and social media content for Mothership Studios. The website was built in Wordpress and included features such as a testimonials page, upcoming events blog, venue hire enquiry form, PDF floor plans, artist profiles, a contact form, and link to Google maps.

With a budget of zero, I used a free template from Wordpress and added personality through bright coloured headings and bold images provided by Mothership.

Given more time and budget I would have added custom fonts, a more interactive template, a merch store and an online ticketing system for their many events, however due to the pandemic these were not priorities at the time.

Additional work for Mothership included updating their Facebook header, scheduling Instagram posts for upcoming events, creation of digital collateral such as an artist callout tile, a price list for venue hire options, managing and promoting the end-of-year artists’ market, and a separate campaign for The Witching Hour exhibition, which I curated and produced at Mothership Studios the same year.
